Tips for Keeping Safe During Coronavirus | CRM Orlando

March 25, 2020
By CRM Orlando

With the World Health Organization declaring the Coronavirus a pandemic and cities forcing many businesses to close, we know it can be a stressful and scary time. We also know that for many couples who are trying to conceive, time is of the essence, and delaying treatment can decrease your chances of success. At CRM, the safety of our patients and our community are our priority, so we’ve compiled some tips on how to keep yourself safe during this stressful time, as well as how we’re making sure to keep patients like you safe at our clinic.

What You Can do to Keep Safe

There are three ways you can keep yourself safe during this time. The following recommendations come from the CDC and Department of Health as ways to help prevent contracting COVID-19 (Coronavirus):

  1. Wash Your Hands!

Wash your hands with soap and water often, especially when you’ve been out in public (this includes even the elevator in your building!), for at least 20 seconds. If you can’t wash your hands with soap and water, use hand sanitizer until you are able to wash your hands.

  1. Try Not to Touch Your Face

We know, this is a tough one! It takes a lot of conscious effort to keep from touching your face, but try to keep from doing it until after you’ve been able to wash your hands.

  1. Practice Social Distancing

Try to avoid the gym, dine-in restaurants, stores, and anymore time in public than necessary. If possible, work from home so as not to come in to your workplace. Social distancing also applies to your home – avoid play dates and dinner parties until after the threat has passed.

What CRM Is Doing to Keep Patients Safe

Our patients’ safety is our priority, but we understand that patients still need to continue on their fertility journey. To make it as safe as possible, CRM is:

  1. Offering Virtual Appointments

For patients who do not wish to come into the office, we are offering virtual appointments for new patient visits and follow up appointments. If you already have an appointment scheduled and would like to switch it to a virtual appointment, contact us at 407-740-0909 today and we will make sure to accommodate you.

  1. Screening Patients

We are making sure to screen patients for symptoms by phone before they come into the office, as well as when they arrive. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, we ask that you call our office to reschedule or switch to a virtual appointment.

  1. Minimizing People in the Clinic

When you arrive, you may be asked to wait in your car after check-in. We will call you to return when your provider is ready to see you. We are also asking that only the patient undergoing treatment come to appointments. This is to minimize the number of individuals in the waiting room to allow for social distancing.

  1. Cleaning High Contact Points Frequently

We are making sure to clean pens, clipboards, and door handles frequently to minimize your risk. We are also making hand sanitizer available at check in for patient use.

We know that this is a stressful time, but remember: the team at CRM is here for you every step of the way! If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact us at 407-740-0909 today. For all the latest COVID-19 information from CRM, please visit us here.
